Lyrics: The Epilogue

Album: The Epilogue (single) / Music For The Ears Of Young Children
Track: 8
Song: The Epilogue (Hillside Part 3)
We where once innocent, but tainted by the paths of our fathers. We where all just prisoners, trapped by the grasp of our mothers. And mothers kiss was never there, And daddies fist was ever more then air. Growing up was never really easy to breath, But I found serenity, and I'm still here. I can easily say That I love my self, but then I'd be lying to everyone else. And I try to hide that side of me, but its easy for everyone to see, something evil has taken over me, something evil has taken over me, something evil has taken over me. I don't really smile as much, I don't really laugh, when I talk no one can tell when I'm joking or when I'm serious. To think that I grew up so different, but everyone's the same. We all breath, we all need to feed, life, we're all living, thinking, no ones perfect. Yet we all try so hard to be an individual, And we fall to the plague of society. The child inside of all of us, screams for retribution, and we can let 'em down, Because we're not even that strong. And in our final pages, the epilogue disappears, your story ends here, your story ends here. Humanity failed us once again.
