3_What to come (Part 1): Wires & Decay's New Material

The focus of Wires & Decay is to create new sounds and bring an abstract understanding of musical knowledge. Lately I've been working with more acoustic instruments and trying to mix it well with the electronic sounds. The new sounds I've been able to create are somewhat close to amazing. The new up coming EP entitled Music For The Ears Of Young Children will end up with a lo-fi sound but at the same time every experimental and trance like. Unlike the first EP These Are Words That Don't Exist, This one will have longer songs and more lyrical content. I find myself struggling to produce sound, and I've had a bit of a cold that made it more difficult to do vocals. I've also been stuck in some strange vortex of anti-creativity, for some reason I just cant seem to focus on writing of playing any kind of sound.

When I first went in to the album I was wanting to use more sounds that relate to children but I found myself having trouble tapping in to that child-like intellect, and I lacked the children toys I wanted to use. I started playing some stuff and came up with this really dark sound on the guitar and decided to continue tapping into this passive aggressive anger in all my writing (or lack there of). But while listening to what I first created I realized that I did manage to keep to my original idea with the inner child, but it was something I didn't even think of.... noise. Children are loud, insensitive, and always making some kind of annoying sound. With this I continued the album. Although the album is not yet finished, and there's still a lot of artwork to be done I'd like to leave you all with a demo of a song from Music For The Ears Of Young Children, this song is called "Jill's Pregnant (Hillside part 2)".[Download here]
Please enjoy :D
