It all started back it 2006, with my first band to ever record anything. I've always had intrest and I've always written songs but it wasn't until me and my best friend Michelle, formed a band and actually tried to make something happen. We named the band Insanacide (a combination of insane and suicide). We where only known from friends to friends, and aside from every one in the band (two, sometimes 3 people) we probably had a fan base of 5, and none of which where even "big" on us (pretty sure they just wanted extra people on their myspace accounts, or we just failed to acknowledge their existence). We had little to no money, no resources, a shity keyboard (some kind of Casio off brand), and we recorded everything with a microphone through soundwave recorder (you know, that little program most computers and laptops come with where you can only record on one track). We fucked with soundwave recorder enough that we devised a system to record multiple tracks in one and the sound we managed to get out of it was pretty impressive. It was this kind of experimental / lo-fi /dark electro / trance, that we called "Shit-Tech" simply because the name fit. We managed to create a 10 or 11 track demo, one song was lost from all the movement (which happened to be the only song that had an additional person besides my friend and I). Along side of the demo there was also a story written for every song (I think I lost a few of them). Their was plans to make another album, we had album art, lyrics, and everything good to go except songs, by that time we both grew apart and had different ideas for how to make our music. Although we still talk about colliding again, we decided that its best to go our own ways with music then to argue over which way the band should go.
In 2007 I did very small help with another local funk / blues artist and close friend, [Jason] Rabid Dog Delong. I basically just listened and gave some advice/ideas. He still tells me he wants me to sing for him, but I don't want to, it's not my scene. I also did some work with another experimental band that me and my friend William called Pestilence. We recorded 3 song (I could only remember 2 of them), one of which was lost when his computer crashed.
In Late 2007 and 2008 me and my friends William and Mason decided to start remixing NIN songs as Ni_Nails. That project is still being done only we're trying to remix other artist as well. We decided that not only will it be the songs we remix but also the band's name (Ni_Nails as in Nine Inch Nails) and also the album artwork to fit the remixes. We currently have remixes of: Nine Inch Nails (Ni_Nails) Mindless Self Indulgence (MS-II), And 00tz 00tz (b00tz).
In 2009 I started working on some music with a friend of mine named Shakes. It was a lo-fi acoustic indie band, we recorded everything by tape recorder and both of us played guitar and sang. He was a far better guitar player then I and it was more of his project. But we both connected for one simple reason... we loved Nine Inch Nails and where both part of the NIN halo collectors. We ended up making about 5-8 songs together and planed on making more.
